// Quetzalroo is a backpackers hostel and traveling hub for Guatemala located in the financial district (near the airport) in Guatemala City.

Our name comes from the Quetzal (Guatemala´s national bird, a beautiful highland bird that can only live in freedom) and The Kangaroo (Australia´s icon: strong and unique).

Our founders, Jodie Madigan from Australia and Manuel Romero-Close from Guatemala, decided to build this company whose mission statement is to “Bring people together through sharing of culture and travel”.

The passion and love we feel for Guatemala and Central America.
